Download your Aadhaar Card using your Mobile Number

 

Aadhaar Card, issued by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India), is an essential identity proof required for every resident in India needed compulsorily in various situations, like ITR filing, travelling, financial processes, etc. It’s easy for a registrant to download e-Aadhaar, if he/she has registered mobile number and email ID during the enrolment. To download, e-Aadhaar from UIDAI portal, you’ll need the Aadhaar enrolment number that is provided in the Aadhaar Enrolment Acknowledgement Slip. You will be given alternate option, if you’ve lost this enrolment number by any chance, at the time you access the portal to download your e-Aadhaar. But, if you haven’t registered your mobile number, you need to register it first by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Centre.

 

Steps to Download e-Aadhaar using Mobile Number

Step 1:- Type the url of official UIDAI portal in the browser address bar and press ENTER to access its Home Page: https://uidai.gov.in/

 

Step 2:- When you do not have the Enrolment Number:

In UIDAI Homepage, click on ‘My Aadhaar’ tab and then, click the option ‘Retrieve lost UID (Aadhaar Number) or EID (Enrolment Number)’ as given under ‘Get Aadhaar’ section. A new page will be displayed where, select the option – ‘You want to retrieve your lost enrolment ID (EID)’

 

Step 3: A new page appears, where you are to provide your details, such as, Name, Registered Email ID, Registered mobile number

 

Step 4: After you fill the details, click on the SEND OTP button, whence you will receive One Time Password on your mobile. Feed this OTP/security code for verification purpose

 

Step 5: Your Enrolment Number/Aadhaar Number will be sent to your registered mobile and email ID.

Step 6: To generate your e-Aadhaar card, you’ll need your enrolment number (that you already have/retrieved). Click ‘Download Aadhaar card with Enrolment Number’ under ‘Get Aadhaar’ section.
